Single Note Exercises

Single note exercises are an essential way for an instrumentalist to prepare him/herself for a practice session or a performance. Exercises give players a chance to concentrate on specific techniques such as finger placement, and wrist/arm movement of the right hand. It is important to work with a metronome, and slowly increase your speed over a period of months and years, in order to improving your dexterity. The enhanced skills a player acquires thru these drills can lead to the extra accuracy that separates an amateur from a professional.
