Here is a selection of very easy songs that use simple recognizable riffs. Even the absolute beginner should be to handle these arrangements.
 
It is not easy to play songs that use chords. Here is a selection of songs that use very basic chords and rhythms.
 
This song uses very common open chords. A capo is required to play along with the recording. 
 
Hell's Bells is a rock guitar classic. The intro is a bit difficult to learn without the help of a teacher.
 
Modern rock conglomerate Audioslave wrote this easier song that uses a repeating riff, and power chords.  The solo is included with this transcription.  
 
This fingerpicking song is difficult. A pattern is used thru most of the arrangement, but it's still not for the faint of heart.
 
British yolks can write country western music. The song uses flatpicking with open chords and is moderately easy to play. 
 
This is a three chord classic. The recognizable riff and the break is included in this outline.
 
Blink 182's popularity was short, but they did help re-energize the Punk Rock scene. This is one of their most popular pieces. It uses an introductory riff and power chords.  
 
Don't Fear the Reaper uses a very fast sweep riff thru most of the song. Power chords and an exotic break can also be found in this arrangement.

This mega-easy power chord riff is a classic for beginners. The music resembles Boston's 25 to 624.
 
Howie Day has written a very easy song that uses open chords. The changes are minimal, so they can be made on time.
 
Power chords are used in this pop song. Don't hesitate to simply things to make this song easier to play.
 
Neil Young used many common open chords for this arrangement. It is moderately easy to play.
